DataWarden Online Backup - How DataWarden works
How DataWarden works
Before Data documents are sent to the backup servers they are comressed & encrypted. This means that you will, in almost all cases, be able to backup more than 250 MB's worth of documents as you see them on your computer. Documents that do not compress as well include large digital images or already 'zipped' documents.
When you join DataWarden:
- Your backup cycle begins when you upgrade from a trial to a full account.
- Each backup cycle lasts for 28 days.
- It is automatically renewed every 28 days.
- You can increase your backup settings:
- Temporarily, until your backup cycle renewal date,
- From your backup cycle renewal date onwards, or
- For current & future backup cycles, (for immediate & continued use).
- You can reduce your backup settings:
- They take affect at the start of your next backup cycle,
- The cost of your backup cycle is changed automatically,
- This must be done between day 1 & day 21 of the preceding backup cycle,
- A reminder e-mail is automatically sent to you.
- You can close your DataWarden account at any time. If you do:
- You retain full use of your account until your backup account expires.
- Your account is closed on or soon after your renewal date.
- You cannot:
- cancel backup changes you have made after they have been paid for, or
- reduce your backup settings for the current backup cycle.
