Is my data safe?
Before backup data is sent to the backup servers it is encrypted using a strong 448 bit encryption algorithm called Blowfish.
Blowfish was developed by Bruce Schneier, a world leading security & cryptography specialist.
Because backup files are encrypted as they travel across the Internet, they cannot be intercepted and read by others.
How long are backup's kept for?
Your backup data is kept for the duration of your DataWarden membership.
If you have a trial account, & do not upgrade by the end of your trial period, your account is disabled & your backup files are kept for 7 days. If you do not upgrade to a full account within these 7 days, your account is closed & backup data associated with your account is deleted from our servers.
If you have a full account & a backup cycle payment is delayed, your account is disabled & your backup files are kept for 28 days. If payment is not recieved within 28 days for the due backup cycle subscription, your account is closed & backup data associated with your account is deleted from our servers.
If you close your account, on or soon after, what would be, your next backup cycle renewal date your backup data is deleted from our servers & your account closed.

It is. We have a solid & reliable traditional backup & rotation system in place. Backups, are stored off-site & away from our main backup servers. We regularly restore our backup's to test servers to make sure, your backup data is safe.
